Get Involved

All volunteering and events are currently postponed due to Covid-19. We are loaning out litter pickers for people to use in the woods on their daily exercise. If you’d like to borrow one please contact us.

Come and join us in these beautiful woods, there’s lots going on:

Community Task Days

Join in with our practical days in the woods from tree planting to coppicing and creating steps there’s lots to help with! Learn new skills, meet people and do something positive for your local  environment.

Check what the next task is here.

Anyone over 18 years old can join, whatever your capabilities. You do NOT have to be physically fit to join in! You can work at your own pace, you can have a chat and a laugh while you work – and there is even a tea-break halfway through.

What do I need?

Old outdoor working clothes suitable for the weather, and reasonably sturdy shoes or boots if you have them. We provide all the necessary tools and personal protective equipment. Either have lunch first or bring your own. Tea/coffee is provided.

You don’t have to book, just come along.

Litter Picking

Come along and join us for a litter pick in the woods every other month on the 1st Saturday of the month 10am-12noon. Everyone welcome, though children must be accompanied by an adult.

We provide the bags and the litter pickers. Just wear suitable clothes and sturdy footwear.

You can check when the next litter pick is and the meeting point here.

We’ve made a real difference over the years to the amount of rubbish in the woods but we’ve not yet run out of litter so do come along and give us a hand! The more people, the more of a difference we can make.

Wildlife Walks and Events

Bird walks, an art trail, moth trapping, these are all events we’ve organised.
